How they do a Brazilian Wax
In an effort to be So-Smooth I opted for a Brazilian Wax. A Brazilian Wax involves waxing away all the hair around the bikini area including all hair on the pubic area. Following a Brazilian wax you are literally left feeling naked. Getting a Brazilian Wax is now widely available with each beauty salon advertising a Brazilian Wax alongside other types of waxing such as a bikini or leg wax. A Brazilian wax is the female equivalent of a man’s “BSC” (back, sack & crack”), without the back of course!!
When I went for my Brazilian wax I was quite worried about bearing all to the beautician. I knew I would probably have to, but I wasn’t looking forward to that part. I was quite surprised when I was able to keep my briefs on during the entire process and thus retain a little dignity.
Before starting the Brazilian wax, the beautician tied the front of my briefs into a G-string with a pair of latex gloves. I was asked to hold the tied glove to one side, which pulled my underwear (and everything else) to one side allowing the beautician to wax the other side. The beautician used smaller strips of Wax, which were more effective at waxing the smaller areas. The beautician waxed both sides, front and back until there was nothing left. I was asked to hold my briefs in all different directions so that she could get to, and wax each area.
I found the Brazilian wax pain full; however it was far less painful than waxing my legs. The area just behind the knee is extremely painful and although the hair is thicker in the pubic area the skin is more robust and I found that it didn’t hurt quite as much as I expected.
For a short time following my Brazilian it did feel like the whole area was cold but it was just the lack of hair that took some time to get used to.
Brazilian Waxing is a short-term solution to hair removal. A Brazilian Wax would last for about 4 to 6 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. For more permanent solutions to hair removal you could consider laser hair removal using laser or IPL to permanently remove unwanted hair. The most popular home laser hair removal products on the market at the moment are the Tria, Silk’n and Rio x60. All are available from our main website: www.so-smooth.co.uk.
